At the Lidernen Hut, warden couple Irène and Pius create and share their adventures. Irène creates masterful meals with hogweed, masterwort, sorrel and dandelion flowers, all herbs found around the little alpine oasis. While Pius works with wood and rock.
The couple have been running the hut since 1992, and have modernised it at least in part over the years without compromising the innate character of the building. They serve 4,500 guests a year and have transformed the culinary offerings from basic rural grub to “hut” cuisine.
