Whatever happened to the mouse that was going to be connected to our hands, way back in 2010 it looked like we were getting ready to dump the tried and sturdy mouse that had been around for the last 40 years, sadly it’s predicted demise was premature and the AirMouse never made it into production.
Just to recap, the AirMouse wireless mouse glove was a wearable mouse that encouraged good hand position, plus you could wear it while you typed so you didn’t have take it off and put it back on again.
The wireless mouse was also lightweight and was said to help with repetitive stress injuries, been cordless in theory you could also leave your desk with it still on.
It seemed like a great idea at the time but as predicted by Mark and Oren’s market research and for the makers of the Airmouse, Deanmark Ltd based in Canada, consumers tended to reject such products like these and five years on, this is exactly what happened!
